PURPOSEFUL PLAY WITHOUT FEAR OF FAILURE

Offering a comprehensive background in youth development. Our key focus for football is purposeful play, coaching players to experiment with no fear of failure in an engaging and enthusiastic environment. Players are encouraged to take control of their learning through the use of numerous challenges.

These learning opportunities are not only based around the technical, tactical and physical aspect of the game, but the mental, lifestyle and social sides also. Alongside football development, we will will focus upon high standards of behaviour and attitude. Players will understand that to improve as a footballer, listening and sportsmanship is a requirement.

DEVELOPING PLAYERS AND PEOPLE

ACFC is founded by Andrew Cartwright, a former professional footballer with a passion for developing players and people. Andy played professionally, for 5 years, at Sunderland AFC, after which he went on to coach within Sunderland's Category One Academy.

Andrew has recently returned home, having spent two years in Australia, gaining management and exceptional coaching knowledge from the leading private coaching company in Perth, and will be taking up his original role within Sunderland AFC Academy as a foundation phase coach.

By using an individual and detailed approach, ACFC is able to support footballers of all ages, from the ages of 2 through to 18, who are looking to take the next step in their footballing journey.

Being able to adapt and plan sessions accordingly, based on age and ability levels, makes all of our sessions engaging, challenging and most importantly, enjoyable.
